Inspiring Turkish lessons for children and teens
Research shows that bilingual children perform better in school and have more opportunities later in life. With my Turkish lessons for children, you'll see how your child is inspired by this beautiful language and culture.
The result is stronger relationships with Turkish family and friends, a more creative mind, and the ability to succeed at Turkish GCSE and A-level.
First of all I'd love to discuss your child's needs. Sohbet edelim!
Who likes my Turkish lessons for children?
Young children
Children learn best when it feels more like "play" than "lessons". That's why I use pictures, activities, games, and objects to make learning enjoyable. But it's all based on a tried and tested structure that develops your child's speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills.
Teenagers
Whether they want to succeed at Turkish GCSE and A-level, or they just want to connect with Turkish family, I will give them the practice and motivation they need. With my academic background, I can also prepare them to study Turkish literature at university.
Families
Parents with children of different ages sometimes prefer to take group lessons with me in their own homes. Based on the ages of the children, I will develop lesson plans that work for all the children, tailored to their particular interests and to what they're learning in school.
How I help children learn Turkish
Having taught young people for 15 years, I've had time to develop a method that really works. These are the special qualities that characterise my Turkish lessons for children.
Communicative
The best way to learn a language is by using it! My students are encouraged to speak, write, and learn actively.
Practical
Your child wants to use Turkish with family or in school. They can practice those skills with my guidance.
Tailored
No two students are the same, and neither are my lessons. Whether they like football or unicorns, I'll catch their interest.
Immersive
Using pictures, stories, and songs, I make learning Turkish a colourful experience, so your child is always engaged.
Structured
Grammar is very important in Turkish, and over the years I've learned the best way to teach these topics clearly.
Cultural
I like to inspire my students with a love of Turkish culture, including music, literature, folklore, and cuisine.
